"Being Set Free From the Bondage of Bitterness & Self-Bitterness!" S10 Part 3C-1 - 2-20-15 Affidavits & Prayers

C. Affidavits & Prayers: – Part 3C-1: In this section, I am going to give you some affidavits and prayers to help you release the people who have hurt you and help you forgive yourself; bitterness and self-bitterness has each has its own affidavit and prayer. The prayers and affidavits are from Dr. Art Mathias’ book, “Biblical Foundations of Freedom Destroying Satan’s Lies With God’s Truth.”  Dr. Mathias was on Sid Roth, talking about unforgiveness’ correlation with sickness and disease. He gave his testimony of how God delivered him from an incurable disease after he repented of unforgiveness and forgave the person; this process of being set free from the bondage of bitterness and self-bitterness works – it is NEVER too late for God to deliver and heal you. You can use these prayers to stay free from bitterness and self-bitterness. If accusing spirits try to remind you of what the person did to hurt you or of a mistake you made, do not allow them to bombard your mind. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says: 3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (biblegateway.com – NKJV).

Jesus taught us to forgive 70 x 7 = 490 times in 24 hours (Matthew 18:21-22). Jesus was not saying to forgive someone only 490, He was giving us the principle of forgiveness. The principle is that forgiveness needs to be an ingrained attitude, occurring naturally all of the time. Forgiveness should be as automatic as breathing - and just as important. The Kingdom of God is not a democracy; we  don’t get to vote on how the rules are written. Colossians 3:12-13 tells us: 12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do (biblegateway.com – NKJV).

It does not matter how many times you have to pray these prayers, do it until you know that you know that you know you are set free from bitterness and self-bitterness; the Holy Spirit will let you know when you are.

May the peace of God guard your hearts and minds ALWAYS!!

"Being Set Free From the Bondage of Bitterness & Self-Bitterness!" S9 Part 3B-2 - Repent to God! 2/19/15

B. Repent to God for harboring the sin of unforgiveness towards others and yourself: – Part 3B-2:

*Meaning of the Prayers of Forgiveness and Repentance you will prayer:

- Part 1 – Forgiving or Repenting - In obedience, we choose to forgive or repent. We repent because the Word tells us to pray for those who spitefully uses us but instead, we get bitter at the person (Luke 6:28Matthew 5:43-48).

Scriptures:
Matthew 6:14-15 - 14“If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

James 4:7 - So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

I John 1:9 - But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

- Part 2 - Canceling Satan’s Authority - In the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood, I cancel Satan’s power and authority over me in the issue of _________________.

Scriptures:
Ephesians 4:27 - for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

James 4:7 - So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Part 3 – Asking for Healing - We ask to be healed of a broken heart or a broken body – free from shame, anger, guilt, rejection, bitterness, fear. We seek the renewing of our mind or the purging of our conscience.

Scriptures:
Psalms 103:3 - He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.

Romans 12:1-2 - 1And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Luke 4:18-19- 18The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, 19 and that the time of the LORD’s favor has come.

Hebrew 9:14 - Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.

- Part 4 - Listening or Talking With God - Ask the Holy Spirit to tell you His truth about the specific situation you are praying about. The Holy Spirit talks to us in a quiet voice, dreams, visions, impressions, or just takes the pain and leaves His peace.

Scripture:
John 14:26 - But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

B. Repent to God for harboring the sin of unforgiveness towards others and yourself:

– Part 3B-2: Meaning of the Prayers of Forgiveness and Repentance you will prayer:
Forgiveness Prayer (Pray this prayer in next section, “Part 3C - Affidavits & Prayers”:

Heavenly Father, I purpose and choose to forgive (the person for what they did). I release them and cancel their debt to me. In the name of Jesus, I cancel all of Satan’s authority over me in this memory because it is forgiven. Holy Spirit, heal my heart and tell me Your truth about this situation. Listen for the Holy Spirit to speak to you!

Repentance Prayer (Prayer this prayer now, asking God to forgive you for holding onto bitterness and self-bitterness):

Heavenly Father, forgive me for (the specific sin). I purpose and choose to forgive myself. In the name of Jesus, I cancel all of Satan’s authority over me in this sin - I am forgiven. Holy Spirit, heal my heart and tell me Your truth about this situation. Listen for the Holy Spirit to speak to you!

"Being Set Free From the Bondage of Bitterness & Self-Bitterness!" S8 Part 3B-1 - Repent to God! 2/18/15

B. Repent to God for harboring the sin of unforgiveness towards others and yourself: – Part 3B-1: According to merriam-webster.com/dictionary, repent means, “to feel or show that you are sorry for something bad or wrong that you did and that you want to do what is right.” When you repent to God for the sin of unforgiveness, you are telling Him you are sorry and want to change; you are sorry that you fell out of agreement with His Word  (Matthew 6:14-15) and came into agreement with accusing spirits and other spirits working against you to make you remember the wrong others has done to you. Forgiving others is a part of the “Lord’s Prayer” in Matthew 6:10-13 Jesus told the disciples to pray; as we ask God to forgive our trespasses, we already have forgiven others their trespasses against us – this prayer is still for us today. In the next section, “Affidavits & Prayers,” you will be able to pray your repentance to God before 1 John 1:9 tells us: “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness” (biblegateway.com – NLT). Isn’t this what Jesus did for the paralyzed man in Matthew 9:26-  7? Did not Jesus forgive the man’s sins and cleanse him from all wickedness? Jesus is still in the forgiving and healing business today; He NEVER change!! Jesus wants to touch YOU right where you are!! Won’t you allow Him to? Aren’t you tired of being sick and tired? Jesus is the Answer!!

In this section, I am going to explain to you fully the prayers you will be praying in the next section (forgiveness prayer) before I give you the repentance prayer for this section. These prayers are courtesy of Dr. Art Mathias’ ministry, “Wellspring Ministries” in Alaska. The complete prayer will first be shown to you on the next page, then I will explain each part of the prayer (there are four parts) so you can know why you are praying the prayers. After the explanation of the prayers of forgiveness and repentance, you will first pray the prayer of repentance, then in the next section, “Part 3C - Affidavits & Prayers,” you will pray the forgiveness prayer. Okay, now let’s look fully at the purpose of the repentance and forgiveness prayers and see what God says.

"Being Set Free From the Bondage of Bitterness & Self-Bitterness!" S7 Part 3A-3 - Recognize You Are Bitter! 2/17/15

A. Recognize you are bitter and decide to forgive – Part 3A-3: Mind/Body Connection:

*Third point of view – Scriptures: The Scriptures Dr. Mathias gave which prove the connection between disease and sin (unforgiveness) (remember, unforgiveness (sin) is the spiritual root of a disease). Unforgiveness is sin because when you do not forgive someone who offends you, you are disobeying what Jesus told you to do in Matthew  6:14-15. Jesus told us to forgive others their trespasses against us and God would forgive us; if not, we would not be forgiven by God!

Proverbs 4:23 – “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

Proverbs 14:30 – “A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.”

Proverbs 16:24 – “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.”

Proverbs 17:22 – “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones” (biblegateway.com – KJV).

Our bones do not function properly when our spirit is broken and we speak negative words or negative words have been or are being spoken to us. Our bones produce the cells of our immune system; pleasant words are sweet to the soul and health to our bones. But, a broken spirit or negative words will destroy our immune system. Medicine agrees with Scripture: Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” We need to remember that our words have the power of life and death for not only ourselves but everyone around us; our action affects everyone close to us.

Another Scripture that shows proof of the mind/body connection is Matthew 9:26,732- 33 (biblegateway.com – NLT). In verse 2, Jesus did not say, “You are healed;” He did not pray for the man’s sickness (he was paralyzed) but Jesus told the man, “…Be encouraged my child! Your sins are forgiven.” This verse proves that sin causes sickness/disease to form in a person’s body. Never forget, unforgiveness is a sin and sin is the spiritual root of sickness/disease.

In verse 6 of Matthew 9, Jesus told the man, after he had forgave his sins, “…Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home.” And we see in verse 7, what happened: “And the man jumped up and went home.”After Jesus forgave the man who was paralyzed sins, his body was healed; he was not paralyzed any longer – his body was healed!

Verses 32-33 of Matthew 9 shows yet another connection between the mind/body. In  verse 32, Jesus encountered a demon possessed man who could not talk speak. Jesus cast out the demons and the man begin to speak; this shows the man was mute because of the demons (vs 33).

All through Matthew Chapter 9 we see people being healed and set free by Jesus and they had one thing in common; they all believed Jesus could heal them – they had faith in Him, in His abilities! Faith is the key to YOU being set free from not only the bondage of bitterness and self-bitterness, but from whatever other bondage you are in! You MUST believe Jesus can and will do what needs to be done in your life! Jesus will get to the root of your problems just as He did for the people in the Bible. Why not allow Jesus into your heart by accepting Him as your personal Lord and Savior, so He can clean you from the inside out? Jesus wants to deliver YOU from EVERY hidden thing that is stopping you from going forth; from hindering you of your purpose God has called you to!

"Being Set Free From the Bondage of Bitterness & Self-Bitterness!" S6 Part 3A-2 2/16/15 - Recognize You Are Bitter!

III. A. Recognize you are bitter and decide to forgive – Part 3A-2: In this section, I am still talking about the connection between the mind and body; showing you how not forgiving your offender is killing you spiritually and physically. The toxic emotions of angriness, hatred, self-hatred, jealousy, fear, bitterness, self-bitterness, sorrow, guilt, etc., can create disease in a person’s soul, which will affect us not only physically but spiritually. The validity of this concept can be fully explained by Dr. Art Mathias in his book,“Biblical Foundations of  Freedom Destroying Satan’s Lies With God’s Truth!” In this teaching, I will explain the validity of the mind/body connection briefly to you using three points of views: 1) Personal testimony by Dr. Art Mathias, who has conducted much research on unforgiveness and its correlation between mind and body, 2) Medicine/psychology, and 3) Spiritual; they are all in agreement with each other.
  • First point of view – Personal:Dr. Mathias, who I am affiliated with, was healed in January 1999 from a disease called, “Environmental Illness;” after discovering he had toxic emotions (unforgiveness, fear, and resentment), he repented and God healed him. This is what Dr. Mathias said: “When I went before God and dealt with my sins of unforgiveness and resentment, and cast off fear, God  was faithful: He healed me. He produces a radical change in my health that was obvious to many people. People started asking what had happened. I had changed physically, and they saw the difference in my appearance.” From childhood I have been hurt many times by people but I still had to forgive them; it does not matter what they did to me. I also had to forgive myself for making unwise decisions and mistakes throughout my life. I use to live in shame, regret, guilt, confusion, fear, anxiety, etc. until God let me knew I had to forgive not only the people but myself. It was not easy but He helped me to forgive and that forgiveness set me free from the other bondages. You must deal with what happened to you! Time does not heal old wounds! But forgiveness does; there is power and freedom in forgiving someone or yourself.

  • Second point of view – Medicine/Psychology: Dr. Mathias said there are hundreds of studies that have confirmed negative emotions suppress the immune system. This happens because when our immune system is suppressed, any disease can take over. These studies also confirm that positive emotions enhance the immune system. There is an entire disciple within psychology, called Psychoneuroimmunology, which studies the interaction or interrelations of emotions and behaviors and how they affect the endocrine or hormonal system and the immune system. Psychology teaches that our psychological state (the way we choose to respond to stress and Stress is thought to affect immune function through emotional and/or behavioral manifestations such as anxiety, fear, tension, anger and  sadness and physiological changes such as heart rate, blood pressure, and sweating.) creates a central nervous system response (electrical), and endocrine system response (hormonal) and a behavioral change that may result in an immune system change that cause disease susceptibility.

May the peace of God comfort you ALWAYS!!!
