"God Wants Us In Healthy Relationships!!" Part 2

In the words of the old song “’Can’t Nobody Do Me Like Jesus’ can’t nobody do me like Jesus, can’t nobody do me like the Lord, can’t nobody do me like Jesus, He’s my friend…picked me up and turned me around….” Can’t NOBODY do me like Jesus, can’t nobody love me like Jesus; there is NOBODY I can call in the middle of the night to get comforted; NOBODY is there when I need them the most but Jesus!! I can call on Him at any time day or night and in between and He will be there for me and answer my prayer!!!
Again, another old song I remember, “’If You Call On Jesus, He Will Answer Prayer’ if you call on Jesus He will answer prayer…call Him Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, He will answer prayer…” This is so true, Jesus will answer our prayers; if we seek Him we will find Him when we seek Him with ALL our heart!!
And I have decided to seek after Jesus with ALL my heart because He is the ONLY One who can help me; NOT man!!!! Man will try to deceive you or will not keep their word (this is by choice I remember the older people use to say when I was growing up “Your word is your bond”) but NOT Jesus!!!
Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Righteousness ONLY comes through Jesus - Jesus has given us His righteousness so accept Him as your personal Lord and Savior and you will become the righteousness of God through Him) and everything else will be added unto you (Matt 6:33)!!!
I have included some additional information which will help you recognize healthy relationships; even a quiz for you to take to see whether you are in healthy relationships. These are guidelines for you to see what a healthy relationship looks like; I am not telling anyone to break any relationships you are in be led by the Holy Spirit!! I feel God wanted me to share this information with you to help you not be abused or to sell yourself short just to be loved by someone or to be friends with someone; it is NOT worth it God loves you unconditionally so don’t allow yourself to be abused for love or any other reason!! Ask God to put the people in your life He wants to be there and remove the ones that are not supposed to be there and He will do it; He did it for me and He will do it for you!! I have been praying that prayer since January 2007 after I heard Dr. Myles Munroe say it; he said if you have people in your life who are always subtracting or dividing from your life, move on ask God to take people out of your life who do not need to be there and put the people who do need to there who God want in your life!! If you are a giver and are connected to a taker that is NOT a healthy relationship!! Relationships are not to be one sided; one person doing all the giving and the other doing all the taking!!

I know a lot of times we ourselves get into relationships, especially marriages, and say “Oh, God put us together.” No, you put your own selves together and even if it is abusive you stay for 20, 30, or more years! God DOES NOT condone abusive relationships!!

"God Wants Us In Healthy Relationships!!" Part 1

There is a great message in the poem by Janette Ikz I Will Wait For You” and I totally agree with it!!! We better wait on God before we get into a relationship with another person; ANY relationship – therefore in this message I am talking about marriage relationships and friendships – whereas Janette is talking about marriage relationship!!!
God asked a question in Amos 3:3 to the Israelites “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?” (biblegateway.com – NKJV).  The Message Bible version states it like this “Do two people walk hand in hand if they aren’t going to the same place?” The answer is NO!!! There is power in agreement (Matthew 18:20) so we have to make sure we have the right person walking with us hand in hand so they will be able to agree with us!!!
God knows the heart of every person who comes in our lives; He knows their underlying purpose so that is the reason we need to wait on Him to connect us with the right people BEFORE we enter the marriage relationship or friendship!!! We have to be careful who and what we connect ourselves with!! We must trust in the Lord with ALL our hearts, lean not to our own understanding and acknowledge God in ALL our ways and He will direct our path (Proverbs 3:5-8)!!!
Dr. Myles Munroe said something years ago that stuck with me, "When purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable!" In other words, if the person we are connected to does not know our purpose (if we are not connected to them by the Spirit) they will eventually abuse us!! That statement also means if we do not know our own purpose, we will abuse ourselves and accept whatever comes our way just for the sake of love or friendship!!
The only way we are ever going to really know someone is by the Holy Spirit!! We cannot know someone naturally; we all have an old nature and that old nature wants to still reign and rule! People can put on a front when they first meet us but they CANNOT fool the Holy Spirit!!! We need to listen to the Holy Spirit as the person is speaking and we will know exactly where the person is coming from! The Bible says, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak (Luke 6:45) so what is in a man will eventually come out!!

Patiently Wait on God!

God was there all the time when we were going through whatever we went through. If He had not been, we would have literally lost our minds. God waited patiently for us to come to ourselves; for us to finally yield to the tugging on our heart strings from Him. So, let us wait patiently on Him for whatever we need Him to do as He waited patiently for us to accept His Son. Remember, no matter how out of control your life seems to be, God is yet in control of it; His grace is sufficient to see you through WHATEVER you are going through or will go through!! Trust Him that He has your best interest at hand; God is concerned about you and will take care of you!! Don't look at the waves of the storm in your life, or where you have been, look at Jesus, He is there with you!! Grab hold to Him and He will NEVER let you fall!! Do not be afraid because God is there with you!!

Also, don't be fooled by a bunch of hype that all you have to do is believe and it will happen!! Let me explain: God has our lives planned but once we get old enough to make our own choices, we can either follow God's path for our lives OR go our own way. Us going our own way does not stop God's plan for our lives, He takes ALL the bad things that happens to us and incorporate them into His plan for our lives; in other words, God causes all things to work out for our good - the enemy cannot stop God's plan for us!! Now we decide to come back to God and do things His way; follow the path He has for us. But don't rush God to give you this or that - the things He has planned for your life - He knows when you should have them!! We cannot hurry God; no matter how much faith we have!! The Bible tells us that if we had the faith the size of a grain of mustard seed we can speak to the mountain and command it to be cast into the sea and it must obey us so don't allow anyone to tell you things are not happening in your life because you don't have faith!! No, that is not it; God's timing is at work in your life!! It will happen in His time!! No, God does not want you to suffer but since everything got out of whack in your life when you were going the opposite way of God, God has to put things back in order so just be patient with Him!!

God is turning everything the devil meant for evil around for your good since you are now loving Him and are the called according to His purpose!! Know that He has NOT forgotten you and He NEVER will!! As you wait on Him, use this time to develop a personal relationship with Him or to get closer to Him; learn all you can about God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!! Don't focus on what you are going through or what you have been through but focus on God and His divine love for you!!

May God continue to bless you and keep you!!
