"Submit To God!" (Parts 5, 6, & Complete Series)

We Must Submit Ourselves to God!

Now, let’s continue with this teaching: In order for us to understand and obey the Word of God, we MUST TOTALLY submit ourselves to God, so we will be able to resist the devil; ONLY THEN, will the devil flee (James 4:6-10). Like I said before, the devil will try to come back, but if we totally sell out to God, we can cause the devil to flee with the Word of God; as Jesus did (Matthew 4:1-11). However, if you keep giving in to your old lusts and desires, those lusts and desires will grow and stay alive in your soul (Galatians 5:16-26). We must always remember, we are no longer to allow sin to control us; we are freed from the bondage of sin and it’s consequences, by Jesus (Galatians 5:1; Romans 6:18; John 8:36; Romans 6:12-16; 1 Peter 2:24; Romans 6:23; Isaiah 53:4-5).

We Are Forgiven By God
We must never forget, that we are forgiven by God because of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection for our sins – past, present, and future (Ephesians 2:1-22). Jesus’ gift of salvation not only covers our past sins, but is covering our sins now and will continue to cover them until He returns for us – His Bride, the Church (2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 19:7). We become the Bride of Christ when we accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior for the forgiveness of our sins. It is at that moment, that we have the gift of eternal life (1 John 2:25; John 10:28; John 17:3; 1 John 5:11). Yes, Jesus died for ALL mankind, BUT unless people accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior, they will not have eternal life.

It does not matter how many times you fall, God will not cast you away (Psalms 37:23); your salvation comes from the grace of God, through faith in Christ – not by your works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus’ finished work is why when God looks at us, He does not see our
sins but His grace because of Jesus; God has cast our sins as far as the
East is from the West (Psalms 103:12).

God Loves YOU!

God loved you and still loves you (John 3:16); Jesus died so you could live – He is the ONLY source to our eternal life. God’s gift of grace, through faith in His Son Jesus, is available to YOU NOW! We are blessed to have our sins and lawless deeds forgiven by God (Romans 4:7) because Jesus’ Blood has paid our sin debt (Colossians 2:13-15). If we really loved God, we would keep His commandments (John 14:21). The love God has for us is unconditional; NOTHING can separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:31-39)

31 What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? 32 He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against God’s elect (His chosen ones)? It is God who justifies us [declaring us blameless and putting us in a right  relationship with Himself]. 34 Who is the one who condemns us? Christ Jesus is the One who died [to pay our penalty], and more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and who is at the right hand of God interceding [with the Father] for us. 35 Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 Just as it is written and forever remains written,

'For Your sake we are put to death all day long; We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.'

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. 38 For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that
neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (biblegateway.com – AMP).

"Submit To God!" ("The Three Parts of Man" - Part 3)

3. Body: Before God breathed the breath of life into us, He formed us out of the dust of the ground (made our body) (Genesis 2:7). The body is where the spirit man and soul lives; it is the physical part of man. Jesus will redeem our body when He returns to get us (1 Corinthians 15:52). As I said before, flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50). Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12:1-2 to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. We are not to be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind (soul – so the spirit man will win the battle over the soul); this way, we will be able to test and prove what God’s will
is – His good and perfect will.

"Submit To God!" ("Three Parts of Man" - Parts 2C-1 & 2C-2)

The Three Parts of Man (continued –“Soul” Part 2C -1)
When the battles between our two natures (Romans 7:14-25) begin to rage on the inside of us, we should ask ourselves these questions: “Do I really believe God?” “Do I really believe that Jesus has healed me spiritually and physically?” The only way we will have victory over them, is to trust God and know that temptations will come (Luke 17:1; 1 Peter 4:12-19)  but Jesus has made us more than conquerors (Romans 8:31-39). Also know, temptations do not come from God – James 1:12-18 lets us know where they come from, along with letting us know, every good and perfect gift comes from God.

12 Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God” [for temptation does not originate from God, but from our own flaws]; for God cannot be tempted by [what is] evil, and He Himself tempts no one.

The Three Parts of Man (continued –“Soul” Part 2C – 2)
14 But each one is tempted when he is dragged away, enticed and baited [to commit sin] by his own [worldly] desire (lust, passion). 15 Then when the illicit desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin has run its course, it gives birth to death. 16 Do not be misled, my beloved brothers and sisters. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down
from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes]. 18 It  was of His own will that He gave us birth [as His children] by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits of His creatures [a prime example of what He created to be set apart to Himself—sanctified, made holy for His divine purposes]”(biblegateway.com – AMP).

"Submit To God!" (The Three Parts of Man - Parts 2A & 2B)

The Three Parts of Man (continued – Part 2A)
2. Soul (Part A): God breathed the breath of life into us and we became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). Our soul consists of the mind, will, intellect, and emotions; this is where we acquire knowledge. The soul is where the battles against our spirit man takes place. Apostle Paul talks about the conflict of the two natures within us in Romans 7:14-25 – the sin nature wants us to yield to it and your spirit man wants to yield to God. We have a choice which nature we are going to choose; are we going to choose God or allow the devil to work through the old sinful nature to keep us in bondage to the things Jesus has already delivered us from? Our choice to choose right from wrong and good from evil, came when Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden; their eyes were open and now so are ours (Genesis 1:26-28 – God creates males and females and blesses them; Genesis 2:7 – God formed a body for man and breathed life into His ...; Genesis 3 – the fall of man, their eyes were opened in verses 6-7, and they became knowledgeable of good and evil in verse 22).

The Three Parts of Man (continued – “Soul” Part 2B)
Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:23 to continually be renewed in the spirit of our mind and he tells us in Colossians 3:10, "and have put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self—"(biblegateway.com – AMP). Since knowledge is acquired by the mind, and the mind is a part of the soul, we must be delivered in the soul from the things that happened to us in the past so we can be continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of God.  In order for us to be able to continually be renewed in the spirit of our mind as Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 4:23, we must seek the things above where Christ is seated on the right hand of God and not on the earth (Colossians 3:1-2). Also, we are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, THEN, EVERYTHING else will follow (Matthew 6:33).
