Wednesday’s Words to Live By for September 7th – September 13th 2011 “Life Is About Choices” (Part 2)

Hi Everyone,

This week the “Wednesday’s Words to Live By” Scripture is again from Deuteronomy 30:19-20:

19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

20 You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” (NLT).
Choosing life is not just quoting that you do, it is applying God’s Word to your life. Don’t just say “I choose life” but know what you are saying so you can effectively apply that declaration to your life. When you apply God’s Words, you are putting your faith in action; remember faith without works is dead.
Life is about making choices, whether that choice is verbal, unspoken, conscious or unaware. We make choices every day and just because we don’t open our mouths to say yea or nay about a situation, does not mean we have not made a choice; we make choices by not choosing too.

Your life should portray the choice you make! If you choose God, follow Him, obey Him and commit yourself firmly to Him; this is what choosing life means! Live the life YOU chose by following the Word of God!! Jesus is the Word and He has provided abundant life for you, accept Him today if you don’t know Him.

“Father God, I thank You for giving me a choice to choose and I choose You – Life, blessings. You are the Key to my life! I believe You and stand firmly on Your Word! I make a conscious decision today to walk after the things of You; I am chasing after You today!

God bless you all always!
